Prologue
Having spent ten days trekking towards Annapurna Base Camp only to be forced back and down to Pokhara, and on return to my normal comfort, I wrote the first article in a series under the title “To Nepal and Back” and called it “The Preparation”. As expected, it did not attract too many readers in the first few hours, unlike the photos and write ups Su posted while we were in Nepal. But that prompted me to start a new Category on my website which I have called “My Travels” which should be self-explanatory enough. I have noticed I wrote more regularly during my travels or when I was away from my desk. I intend to put such pieces together in one place, so as to facilitate retrieval in the future, just in case I decide to put them in a book.
